Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are the plans for the Wirral Way?
A: Start by the removal over thirty years of neglect, and transform the main path (once wide enough for trains) into a clean wide accessible route for Walkers and Cyclist, with better access points. Plus in time provide separate path for the horse riders with new fences, gates, etc
Q: Why cant we have three separate paths so Walkers are not intimidated by Cyclist racing along at frantic speeds on the footpath.
A: The park rangers and gardeners need a path wide enough for maintenance vehicles to travel on and keep the undergrowth down at the sides of the path so we can avoid the neglect suffered before. Plus due to the changing levels of the original track bed it is not possible to widen the main route in all areas without major engineering works for which the money is simply not available.

Q: Can more areas be cleared of undergrowth so that we can enjoy the views across the estuary there seems to be few locations where on can sit and rest and just appreciate the countryside and wildlife.
A: In a nutshell YES wonderful suggestion. As more of the main path is improved, overgrowth and undergrowth that restrict appreciation of the Scenery, Flora, Fauna, etc is a by product of regular maintenance and upkeep, the possibility of locating more seats and areas of what I would call peaceful places is open to discussion with the Country Park Rangers, making your view known is valuable feed back to this end, Thank you.
Q: Is it possible to dedicate a particular seat or picnic location to a dear departed loved one.
A: As you will appreciate this is such a special place and holds fond memories for a multitude of people. In and around the Park and Wirral Way you will see very many seats dedicated to passed relatives, do speak to the Rangers Office, the type of equipment and the location will be looked at most sympathetically. I am sure for the most part your wishes will be respected, and it is possible to conduct a small dedication service at most locations.
